I recently attended a Vineyard Meeting and heard quite a bit of discussion concerning the high cost of bottling Virginia Wines for domestic and future export sales. Raising the price in this world market would be difficult to say the least. I would suggest that per bottle cost could be reduced, for a lot of growers, by installing and using a drip irrigation system. You ask.. “Do greater yields mean lesser wines?” Get on Google and you will find plenty of data to say NO!
